Executive Vice President, Chief Financial & Operations Officer
Oscar Raposo is the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Operations Officer for United Way of New York City (UWNYC). Raposo brings to UWNYC decades of experience in global finance and operations across industrial, consumer, and financial services—in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, Oscar served as Managing Director of Finance for the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), a $1.6BN revenue enterprise.
Prior to joining DTCC, Mr. Raposo had a distinguished 20-year career at General Electric, where he held various senior global positions in finance, including Divisional Chief Financial Officer for GE’s Components Business, a global $900 million revenue industrial operation with 25 manufacturing plants worldwide and Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at GE’s Power Control Business, a €1BN revenue EMEA industrial operation located in Barcelona, Spain.
Raposo, known for taking on complex assignments and delivering on financial results, has a history of partnering with business leaders, improving and growing domestic and global businesses, developing strong finance teams, and driving business performance. He has served on operating, investment, technology, compliance and diversity committees of organizations, including board assignments.
Mr. Raposo. holds a B.S. degree in Business Economics from Southern Connecticut State University and is a graduate of General Electric’s prestigious Experienced Financial Leadership Management Program. He is fluent in Spanish and is active in local charities in Fairfield County, CT. He is married and has two children.
