On Wednesday, June 16th The Pipeline Early Care & Education Working Group hosted the Young Black Leaders of Tomorrow Luncheon at Cipriani's Wall Street. Over 250 of New York City's most influential leaders in the legal, financial and non-profit sectors gathered to honor the achievements of Marilyn Booker, Managing Director, Head of Diversity – North America at Morgan Stanley and; Alan Cohen, Global Head of Compliance at Goldman Sachs. Raymond McGuire, Head of Global Banking at Citi gave a rousing keynote address and Pedro Noguera, Ph.D., Professor of Education at New York University and Executive Director for the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education moved the audience with an inspirational message. Almost $190,000 was raised at the event that will go towards providing young black males, in East New York, Brooklyn, with the quality childhood education that they deserve!
