What's on the Table? is United Way of New York City's campaign to raise awareness of the current hunger crisis in New York City and to give concerned New Yorkers a variety ways to take action as donors, volunteers and advocates.
On August 20, 2011, United Way of New York City launched the campaign with an exclusive evening event at a private residence in Sagaponack, New York. Chef/restaurateur Tom Colicchio and actress/activist Julianne Moore served as hosts, and guests enjoyed dishes made from local produce created by chefs from Colicchio's celebrated Craft, Craftbar, Craftsteak, Colicchio & Sons, and Riverpark restaurants. Co-presented by Vanity Fair, the event raised funds to build and sustain urban farms, provide refrigeration to food pantries and soup kitchens, and feed New Yorkers.
There's still time to take part in the What's on the Table? campaign. Get involved at whatsonthetable.org!
