You put chickpeas in cookie dough? Yep! And it’s delicious.

Our FeedNYC team—the team that’s on the ground helping hundreds of NYC food pantries and soup kitchens bring New Yorkers the foods they need every day—often brings these partners together to workshop new recipes for their pantry or kitchen.

FeedNYC’s latest, greatest, and dare we say tastiest workshop featured easy protein-packed recipes. These family-friendly, affordable recipes include hearty, nutritious ingredients like broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, chickpeas, raisins, lentils, black beans, quinoa, tofu, and more. Um, yum.

“I never used to eat chickpeas, but I tried them today, and I’m a convert!” exclaimed one of FeedNYC’s workshop participants.
